Sketchlife

To install Sketchlife on Mac:

  1. (Make sure that SketchUp is installed and it runs.)
  2. Download the file sketchlife.zip by clicking on the large "Download" link on the left.
  3. A window will appear, with either the file sketchlife.zip, or a folder sketchlife listed. Ctrl+click on this item and select Show in Finder.
  4. If the file you see is called sketchlife.zip, it hasn't been expanded automatically yet, so Ctrl+click on it, and select Open With|StuffIt Expander, then press Expand in the StuffIt window that appears.
    At the end of this step you should have a folder called sketchlife.
  5. Select the two items in this folder, Ctrl+click on them, and select Copy.
  6. Click on Macintosh HD in the left-hand menu of Finder.
  7. Follow the path Library/Application Support/Google SketchUp 7/SketchUp/plugins/
  8. Ctrl+click in the folder plugins and select Paste Item.
  9. If there is an error message saying that you don't have permission to access this location, you will need to contact your computer administrator to continue.
  10. Close SketchUp if it is open.
  11. Start SketchUp. If you see a new toolbar with Sketchlife icons, you have installed Sketchlife successfully.
